KidWorks

KidWorks is about bringing hope to some of the most challenging neighborhoods in Santa Ana. Councilmember David Benavides was a student at Biola when he connected with Newsong and became one of the first to volunteer at KidWorks. He’s now Executive Director, and continues to be a leading voice of advocacy within our community.

The Row

Ten years ago, Pastor Cue Jn-Marie took what he learned as part of Newsong staff on the road – literally. He started “The Row” as a true church without walls, meeting every Friday night at the corner of Wall and Winston. They worship, praise, feed, and fellowship right in the heart of Skid Row, a constant reminder that a building does not make God's church - people do.

Newsong Bangkok

In 2005, right in the middle of thriving megachurch growth, Newsong sent Dave Gibbons and a team of staff people to Thailand to start a church. It was like going to Narnia – an experience of the kingdom that showed us new ways to do church both locally and globally.

Benny and Janice Yu

After being part of the team in Thailand, Benny and Janice moved to Mexico City with plans to start a church. Once they arrived, God expanded the vision and put them on the front lines of a campaign to fight human trafficking around the world.

The day Brian and Vanessa Peterson and their friends took over service was one of the most memorable moments in Newsong history. We are inspired by their desire to use art as a way to love, humanize, share stories and financially support our neighbors without homes.

Teen Leadership Foundation

Teen Leadership Foundation is all about empowering foster teens and giving them tools to become leaders. Part of their effort includes training mentors from within Newsong to support teens in our community. Each year, this culminates in Teen Leadership Camp, a life-changing experience where mentors and teens spend a weekend with high ropes, zip-lines and evening guest speakers, all of which help to build confidence, trust and self-esteem in the teens.
