Havens Discussion Questions
1. Happy Christmas in July! It’s not too early to ask: what’s on your Christmas list? Seriously though – what is something you want in life right now?
2. Read Psalm 139:8. How can dark moments in our life (“the depths”) actually be a place of God’s presence? Share a time where you experienced this.
3. Read Luke 16:9-15. Real talk: how’s your relationship with money? Do your finances reflect dependence on God, or an unhealthy amount of worry and love for worldly wealth?
4. “No man is a failure who has friends.” How can we see friendship as a metric of success? How does that align with Jesus’ teaching in Luke 16:9?
5. Movie Church Activation: The Toast. At Newsong, we like to “speak words of blessing,” but outside of church, we just call it a toast. Next time you’re at a meal, lift a glass and bless someone at the table.
