Haven Discussion Questions

1. Read 2 Corinthians 10:3-5. This passage describes the Star Wars that happen in our minds. What is that battle like for you? What are some ways you can put verse 5 into practice?

2. A wise Jedi named Ed Salas once said, “Self-awareness requires feedback.” On a scale of 1-10, how open are you to feedback? Share an example of a time someone shared their feedback with you, good or bad – how did it go?

3. ACTIVATION: Ask some people close to you for their honest perspective on the strengths/weaknesses they see in you.

*MOVIE CHURCH EXTRA CREDIT*: Review your answers to the above questions, but rephrase them in Yoda’s voice. Here’s a quick lesson:

“Yoda’s syntax is distinctly different. For the most part, his sentences follow the object-subject-verb pattern. This pattern is only found in 0.3% of the world’s languages. Let’s take this quote: “Truly wonderful the mind of a child is.” In this sentence, “wonderful” appears first, serving as the object. This is followed by “mind”, the sentence’s subject. Finally, we get the verb, “is.” Object-subject-verb. Here’s a double: “Powerful (object) you (subject) have (verb) become; the dark side (object) I (subject) sense (verb) in you.
