Internship FAQs
What are the requirements to be an intern?

- Thriving relationship with Jesus.
- Teachable spirit.
- Hunger to grow and develop.
- Ability to give a minimum of 20 hours a week.
- A flexible schedule that allows for the demands of ministry
- Exhibits wise & Christ-centered decisions, particularly in the areas of relationships, finances, social media, & extra-curricular activities.
Who should intern?
The ideal candidate for the Newsong internship is someone who not only has a passion for Christ and His church, but desires to dedicate a year to discover their passions, develop their gifts, and see what it would look like to have a career at the intersection of the two.
What is the time commitment?
The schedule varies depending on the needs of each department, but the commitment will be a minimum of 20 hours a week.
Certain seasons around major events/holidays will require a higher level of involvement from all Newsong staff and interns.These will be clearly communicated ahead of time.
When do they begin?
The internship begins on September 1st, and ends August 31st.
Is there a cost?
There is no cost to be part of the Newsong internship. We just ask that you have enough resources to be able to fully commit your time and energy during this important year.
Where can I be involved?
Our desire is to help you work with a department that would be at the center of your gifts and passions. Because of that, there are internships in many departments across Newsong.
How do I apply?
Download the application, print it, fill it out, & turn it in to a member of the Newsong staff.
Can I work while interning?
Yes, as long as it does not interfere with the schedule of your department and provides the necessary flexibility.
What about housing?
Newsong does not provide housing. A limited number of host homes may be available. Upon acceptance as a Newsong intern, you may apply.
Will I get a job with Newsong after interning?
Newsong does not guarantee employment after the completion of an internship.
